Album Review: MiSaMo- Masterpiece

This album is a work of art. It is a gallery of sounds that represent different sides of Mina, Sana and Momo. It is a wonderful blend of styles, from jazz to rock to lofi and hip hop. It all works so well together with the girls' vocal abilities, brilliant musicianship and expert engineering.
"Behind The Curtain" is one of the coolest jazz bops I have ever heard. With jazz, you get to you use awesome chords in a progression and bring out lots interesting colors. It is such a fantastic track!
"Funny Valentine" is a curious track that creates a deep noir space and accents it vocal and instrumental tones that evoke rich red colors. The strings sound almost sounds like crying-laughter with the quirky motif that is played. The vocals are imbued with red tonality as well.
"It's Not Easy For You" evokes a sense of desperation with its driving, grungy guitar riffs. I've never heard Mina sing with pitches this low before and at times, the feel of song brushes up against a horror concept. With skeletal percussion, this song makes you feel as though you have been stripped down to your bare bones and dropped into quick sand.
"Rewind You" stands out the most to me. It is the only song that creates a feeling of sadness. It is pensive and reflective. The guitar arpeggio pattern gives the sense of being stuck in a loop, and it return in different ranges across the song's sections. The effects work is actually close to "Marshmallow" but leans a little softer into the lofi territory.
They set out to share different ideas and different side of their personalities in creating this album. They have accomplished this and in doing so, they created an amazing work that will be listened to many more generations to come.
