Hello friends!! Today we have a new 3rd-party effects pedal demo featuring the Rowin Harmonizer effects pedal. This is demo 1/3 with the Rowin Harmonizer, and this clip shows the "pitch up" mode. For reference, the synth is a Casio CT-320 recorded with just the one pedal and an interface.

This is a digital effect, available for cheap online, and is in the "Amazon Basics" category of pedals/pedalmakers. The namesake effect is sub-par, and not comparable to, say, a DigiTech or Boss digital harmonizer. I used a boss ME-50 for a long time, and while that wasn't always an ideal harmonizer, the delay was nearly unnoticeable, unlike this pedal, which there is an obvious and audible time delay, besides the quality issues with shifted pitches. I find this pedal of good use for lofi/gnarly sounds, as it is certainly a unique tone. Also, If I'm recording with a split wet and dry path, I might put this pedal in the wet path with delays and reverbs so the time delay isn't noticeable. I accidentally received this pedal in an AliExpress order, and while I did want the thing I actually ordered, I have kept this pedal around and found many uses for it, usually for DI recording of hardware synths...
