Iguazu Falls walkway reopens after high flow prompted temporary closure

On Tuesday (December 10), the water volume surged to 8.15 million liters per second, over five times the usual average.

A technical inspection confirmed the safety of the site, allowing visitors to return as water levels remained high but controlled.

Tourists expressed surprise and awe at the dramatic increase in water volume, with some describing it as the most impressive they had seen in years.

The Iguazu National Park administration stated the increase was due to rain-fed rivers flowing into the Iguazu River, which runs through the #Argentina-#Brazil border.
