We wrote Waste My Time as a breakup song talking about toxic relationships, where you argue, fight, breakup, but keep ending up back together. It's a constant struggle deciding whether to leave or stay and felt like this perfectly captures what's happening in the Arts & Entertainment industry


We were tired of seeing the same "safe bets" continue to receive the majority of opportunities and funding intended for smaller artists. We wanted to show we could do more with less. Inspired by 22 Canadian music icons, we made this video with the help of our community and shot it on our phones to show that neither us nor anyone needs a massive budget to do something that matters.


Our story, ideas, and approach are worth investing in. This project is our way of challenging what funders and decision-makers see as a “good investment” and to open up the conversation: if this is what's possible on a budget, how much more could be achieved with proper funding?
