Hidden Gem - Sarahan Bushahr also mentioned as Shonitpur in Puranas, is also known as "The Gateway of Kinnaur".

Sarahan Bushahr is a small town situated around 170 km away from the main
Capital city Shimla.

It served as the summer capital of Bushahr Dynasty whereas the Rampur Bushahr served as the winter capital.
Sarahan Bushahr is famously known for the Bhimakali Temple which is considered as one of the 51 Shakti
Peeths according to some sources and legends.
Bhimakali temple was the "kuldevi" of the royal family and homes a large complex comprising of other temples too. Adjoining to the complex is the old Palace of the royal family known as the Shrikhand view Palace or Shanti Kunj.
