Amid Punjab Police's manhunt for fugitive Amritpal Singh, the legal advisor of Waris Punjab De chief Imaan Singh Khara made a sensational claim that the Khalistani sympathizer is in police's custody. The advocate was confronted with the Punjab Police's statement that Amritpal Singh has escaped and is on the run, which he denied. Khara has filed a habeus corpus petition in the Punjab High Court, following which the state government has been asked to file a response. The court is scheduled to take up the matter tomorrow.
