More than 10 scientific research groups are located at ZARM, the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity in Bremen. The working group "Photoelectrocatalysis" headed by Katharina Brinkert, focuses on producing oxygen and other chemicals via artificial photosynthesis for space exploration. A process, which could also become relevant on Earth regarding the global energy transition.
