Every year, the students attending Introduction to Bioinformatics have the opportunity to listen to experts working in this field.

In the second session, Tyler Alioto, leader of the Assembly and Annotation Team at CNAG-CRG, will introduce the DNA sequencing technologies that make possible a wide range of genomic research. He will also discuss how to find and annotate the regions of the genome that code for proteins, otherwise known as protein-coding genes.
