​Israeli Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, has strongly condemned the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives. He described the incident as a "watershed moment" and drew parallels between this attack and the October 7, 2023, Hamas assault on Israel, highlighting the shared threat of cross-border terrorism faced by both nations.

Ambassador Azar emphasized the growing coordination among terrorist groups, noting reports of Hamas leaders visiting Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He stressed the importance of international cooperation to combat such threats. ​

In a meeting with India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Ambassador Azar reaffirmed Israel's solidarity with India and discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation to address terrorism.
