Raj Kumar a pauper, stays as a paying guest with Mrs. D'Sa. He is despised by his employers for his honesty and it becomes difficult for him to find a job. Raj is offerred a job by Seth Sohanlal when he impresses him with his outstanding show of honesty and humility. In the meanwhile he falls in love with Seth Sohanlal's niece, Aarti, unaware of her background. Angry at this development, Sohanlal vows to doom Raj's future. Sohanlal plots and frames Raj for Mrs. D'Sa's murder. Will Raj's honesty save him?
