This is a short film, a live performance of the three songs making up the original Cardiac Arrest single/EP back in 1979, "A Bus for a Bus on the Bus."
My first take, my only take, dedicated to the one and truly only, Tim Smith.

I didn't know Cardiacs, and then I did. My friend was surprised I'd never heard of them. "A Little Man and a House" stole my heart immediately. One by one, every stinking crazy beautiful wild song of Tim's wormed its way into my heart and now I couldn't imagine life without it. Without him.
It's been key in keeping me going since, this music, its analysis, and the never-ending mileage that pours out of the man's compositions and from the amazing circle that supported him.
My friend got me an original pressing of the Bus 7" single, for my birthday this year -- this most meaningful of gestures cementing my mission as a fellow collector, of anything I can find from this incredible collective, this relatable and brilliant (brilliantly fun) band. Learning all their stuff has been a true pleasure; someone has to, now.

Rest in peace, Tim Smith. A true original, as they say.
