Painting with a Palette Knife - Beautiful Abstract Painting on Textured Canvas

I thought I'd have another go at this textured art technique but this time I wanted to use up and old canvas that I didn't like. So I covered it with Modelling paste and used horizontal and vertical strokes. Then defined a few lines as well, keeping it in portrait style. Once that dried I worked some colours into the canvas to cover it up and give me a sense of where I was headed. Then I loaded up my palette knife and laid down some deliberate strokes and continued until I was happy! It's a different piece and I quite like it. But there are some things I prefer with the first one. I'm loving the texture though!
