Culiacán es conocida por su cultura, lujos y celebraciones. Sus sitios icónicos incluyen su centro histórico, el Parque Las Riberas, el Jardín Botánico Culiacán, el asta bandera conocida como fuentes danzarinas, el estadio de Tomateros y templos religiosos como su catedral basílica, el santuario y La Lomita. El distrito Tres Ríos es conocido por sus edificios, plazas, hoteles, parques, restaurantes y escuelas. El primer trazo de la ciudad fue realizado por el arquitecto Luis F. Molina.

La ciudad está ubicada en un valle en las faldas de la Sierra Madre Occidental en la confluencia de los ríos Tamazula y Humaya, que se unen para formar el Río Culiacán.

The Tres Ríos district is known for its buildings, plazas, hotels, parks, restaurants, and schools. The first outline of the city was made by the architect Luis F. Molina.

The city is located in a valley in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Occidental at the confluence of the Tamazula and Humaya rivers, which join to form the Culiacán River.
