Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at Etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our totally quick job ratchet rope tie down here at Etrailer. So this is a quick draw tie down, which means it has the ratchet wreck mechanism. And it also has kind of this carabiner hook. So this is a great replacement part.

if you have the Tooley water sport or roof mounted accessory that uses this, or is included already, or, if you don't have this with your kit you usually just have the hook and you want to upgrade. This is the way to go. This does not include the rope. If you do not have the rope, you can find that here at Etrailer, with the way to use this quick draw mechanism is you feed the rope right over here at the bottom of the mechanism where it says feed rope. So that goes right there in the corner.

Just want to get it into place just barely. Then you start rotating this mechanism. So rotate it counter-clockwise until that rope comes out at the bottom. So grab that piece and then continue pulling it down. And then in order to release that rope or that tension, there's this lever right over here.

So push up on that lever, and then pull that rope out. And once you have that rope fed through you just going to attach that carabiner really quickly to your kayak or your boat. So just like that, you now have a bow or stern tie down rope. And once everything is connected and your bottom hook is also anchored, don't forget to use this ratchet mechanism to get that tension there and then just tie up the excess strap. And that's pretty much it.

So with 150 pound max load capacity, I think this makes it a lot easier to tie down your balance steering straps. You don't have to feed it in through the hook that like what we have on our kayak. We just attach that carabiner. We use that ratchet mechanism to give ourselves some tension and then we're ready to go onto the road. So if you don't already have this with your Tooley water sport carriers, I recommend adding this, but if you did break or damage your current one, then that's perfectly fine since it is a direct replacement and you don't have to worry about if it fits or not. And that was a look here at our Tooley quick draw ratchet rope tie down here at Etrailer..
