Featured Speakers:

Prison Pet Partnership (PPP)
Operating within the Washington State criminal justice system, Prison Pet Partnership (PPP) rehabilitates incarcerated individuals by training them in pet care and dog training. Since 1981, PPP has trained over 700 service dogs and provided vital certifications in pet care, grooming, and veterinary assistance. PPP’s human-animal bond approach has dramatically reduced recidivism among program participants.

Prison Scholar Fund
The Prison Scholar Fund provides education and professional development for those impacted by incarceration. By offering access to higher education, the program equips participants with skills for self-sufficiency and post-incarceration success, breaking the cycle of recidivism and empowering individuals to contribute to their communities.

Weld Seattle
Weld Seattle is dedicated to providing housing, employment, and community connections to formerly incarcerated and justice-involved individuals. Through their clean and sober housing, employment programs like Weld Works, and peer-to-peer support systems, Weld helps participants reintegrate into society and maintain long-term employment. Since its founding, Weld has served over 1,000 individuals, offering a second chance to those facing barriers to reentry.

This event highlights the power of second chances, showcasing the transformative potential of both education and the human-animal connection in reshaping the lives of those impacted by the criminal justice system.
