यूपी के लखीमपुर खीरी में पुलिस पर एक युवक की मौत के बाद गंभीर आरोप लगे हैं। रामचंद्र नाम का युवक जंगल में लकड़ियां बीनने गया था, जहां उसे पुलिस ने शराब तस्करी के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया। पुलिस की थर्ड डिग्री टॉर्चर से युवक बुरी तरह घायल हो गया और निघासन सीएचसी में उसकी मौत हो गई। मृतक के परिवारवालों का कहना है कि रामचंद्र किसी अवैध गतिविधि में शामिल नहीं था और पुलिस ने बिना कारण के उसे पीटा।

इस मामले में मृतक के परिवार और गांववालों ने सीएचसी में विरोध प्रदर्शन किया और पुलिस पर महिलाओं के साथ अभद्रता करने का भी आरोप लगाया। वहीं, पुलिस का कहना है कि रामचंद्र अवैध शराब बना रहा था और इसी सूचना पर कार्रवाई की गई थी। इस घटना ने एक बार फिर लखीमपुर खीरी में पुलिस की कार्यप्रणाली पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं।

In Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri, serious allegations have been made against the police following the death of a young man in custody. Ramchandra, a 36-year-old man, was reportedly picking firewood in the forest area with three companions when he was arrested by the police on charges of liquor smuggling. During the police custody, he allegedly suffered severe third-degree torture, leading to critical injuries. He was later brought to Nighasan CHC, where doctors declared him dead.

Ramchandra's brother, Dinesh, has accused the police of beating his brother mercilessly, which worsened his condition and led to his death. The victim's family and local villagers protested at the hospital, claiming that Ramchandra was not involved in any illegal activities and was tortured without cause. The police reportedly forced the family to send the body for a post-mortem, and there are allegations that the police misbehaved with women and even shoved them during the process.

The police, however, maintain that Ramchandra was involved in the illegal production of alcohol, and their actions were based on this information. The incident has once again raised questions about police conduct in Lakhimpur Kheri.
