SAR Course 55

Описание к видео SAR Course 55

Royal Canadian Air Force Search and Rescue Technicians are a small, elite group of rescue specialists, trained in performing harrowing rescues to those on their darkest days when hope is lost. There are currently only ~150 SAR Techs covering Canada's 2nd largest land mass (9.98 mil square km) and longest coastline (243,000km) in the world, and less than 700 have graduated of the countless thousands who have tried since 1944. SAR Techs go through many stages of vetting, including arguably the toughest military selection in the Canadian Armed Forces before beginning the challenging 11 month course. They do all this to fully embrace their motto: "That Others May Live."

Skills include:
Military freefall and static line parachuting in day, night, over land, trees or water.
Paramedics with a further emphasis on field medicine and ingenuity in austere environments.
Rescue Diving and Rescue Swimming.
Mountaineering, ice and rock climbing, rappelling, and glacier and mountain rescue techniques.
Rotary wing hoist rescue, water or land.
Wilderness survival in all Canadian environments and weather conditions.

Blues Saraceno - Dogs of War
