Ganga Water Treaty with Bangladesh will be expired on Dec 2026 and process has been started between two nations for proceeding in future. India has 3 options.
1) To continue the treaty as it is.
2) To allow the treaty to get expired and make situation uncertain
3) To amend the treaty as per todays political & diplomatic situation.
1st option is not feasible in any way. 2nd option is feasible like India did with Pakistan, but it make international diplomatic pressure on India . 3rd option seems best . India can add required clause in Ganga water treaty as per domestic political situation present in Bangladesh considering human rights violation, minority rights violation and anti India activities happening in Bangladesh.
India can add below clauses in the treaty to make Bangladesh more responsible for his human responsibilities and neighbour responsibilities.
This amendment will trigger automatic India's legal rights to suspend the treaty temporarily or permanently as per situation.

• Minority Safety Commission Clause
• Minority Rights Reporting Mechanism
• Annual Human Rights Audit Clause
• Humanitarian Clause (ensuring victims benefit directly)
• Anti-India Activity Review Clause
• Trigger Clause (India can suspend the treaty if clauses are violated)
