I do these narrations chiefly for people with visual impairment, who are unable to read or enjoy these stories for themselves.

"Mercenary's Star" is the a Battletech novel, the second in the Gray Death Legion saga, of which I also narrated the first volume: "Decision at Thunder Rift". It was written by William H Keith JR, and published in 1992. It continues the story of the young mercenary commander, Grayson "Death" Carlyle, as he builds up his mech unit further and, out of desperation, has to take a dangerous assignment on a distant agriworld occupied and opressed by the Draconis Combine. Here, he must unite the disparate rebel factions and make them work together against the vastly superior House Kurita invaders.
