Shogun's Ochiba-no-kata Explained: Real Inspiration, Taiko History, and Osaka Power.

Ochiba-no-kata is a new key character in Shōgun. With the critically acclaimed series more than halfway done, the intensity of Shōgun is picking up. Lord Toranaga reluctantly plans Crimson Sky and an all-out war against Ishido Kazunari. Toranaga elevates his Hatatmoto Blackthorne to the esteemed rank of general in his army, depriving the untrustworthy Yabushige of power. In Osaka, Ishido leads an effort to elect a new member of the Council of Regents with the sole purpose of impeaching Toranaga and sentenceing him to death.
