Are Ordinals Too Centralized?! 😲 | Metaprotocols on Bitcoin are COOKED 🔥

We talk about Bitcoin’s recent surge in price in reaction to some macro news and react to then first presidential Bitcoin transaction. We then spend some time looking at the rainbow charts indicating that Bitcoin is really primed for an aggressive upside move in momentum, if price patterns are to follow historical patterns. Bitcoin isn’t alone in this market uprise, Bitmaps are also on a tear, so we discuss what the market opportunity is for Bitmaps and what should new owners expect based on the current development landscape. After this, we discuss some recent concerns within the Ordinals around Ordinal creators having the ability to edit their own collections and alter which assets can be included as part of the collection. These actions hurt the image of Ordinals and unveil some not so obvious realities about Metaprotocol based assets that can disrupt the “ethos” and its alignments with Bitcoin. Some advocate for all collections to be parent-child produces to solve this problem and ensure front end providers and its users can’t tamper with collections. We argue DMT and non-arbitrary tokens help solve this issue by associating collection provenance to the occurrence of unbreakable patterns on Bitcoin.
