Suffocation - Liege of Inveracity (Bass Cover)

Getting back into my usual playthrough videos since I'm back home after almost 50 days! Thought I'd finally do a full cover of a Suffocation tune. Their stuff is easily some of the most complex out there, total riff salad. Different kind of technical from my usual pace with Atheist, Sadus, etc. I was considering doing a tune from Breeding the Spawn, my favorite album, but I happened to already be in C standard to do some Effigy stuff, thanks to touring with Cemetery Filth. Maybe I'll tune up a half step and get on Beginning of Sorrow or something in a few days! 😂😁

I did have a take that was overall cleaner than this, but I messed up the ending (way more than I did here) so I was just like screw it, retake. This song is full of so many quick changes and it's so much more rude and frenetic than the very focused, vacuum tight tones of the following albums. As a result, it's a little tougher to play to, but Mike Smith's incredibly on point, consistent, and powerful drumming is quite the dream to play to. And the bass playing is just so sick as always. Suffocation always had such strong bassists, Josh (and Chris Richards) have laid down such classic bass parts and this one was my introduction to this band.
Nonetheless, I hope a few folks enjoy this!
