F150 Mirror Skull Cap Replacement | ModFusion

Welcome back to ModFusion!!! Today’s mod is the mirror/skull cap to black from the original chrome colored. I moved side mirror all the way in towards the vehicle and up. Then take a flat screwdriver to the back of the mirror and slide it in-between the two tabs at the bottom of your mirror, DO NOT PRY IT OUT, twist your flat screw driver slowly then push the flat screw driver further in in the same location and repeat the step twist your flat screw driver slowly. Then you need to remove 4 star screws (size 15) to release the existing mirror skull cap. You can fold you mirror in to hold the mirror while removing the skull cap. Be careful when gently removing the skull cap as it will also loosen the side marker. Once you have the skull cap assembly you need to gently remove the skull cap from the assembly by loosening the four taps on the inside that are holding the skull cap to the assembly. I slipped the 3 out of 4 slots off the assembly and cut the 4th slot off to not damage the assembly that will hold the new skull cap. The 4th slot is the bottom closes to the vehicle. Finally just snapped the new skull cap in to the back assembly and reverse my steps. Thanks for Watching!!! Please Comment, Like, Share, and Subscribe.
