channel where I bring you the latest Bollywood gossip and news. Today, we're going to talk about the behind-the-scenes drama that went down during the making of the 1992 film, "Kshatriya" directed by JP Dutta.
Now, JP Dutta is known for his multi-starrer films, but making a movie with a star-studded cast is no easy feat. And during the making of "Kshatriya," Dutta faced some major challenges, especially when it came to dealing with his leading ladies - Divya Bharti and Raveena Tandon.
Divya Bharti, who was already a star at the time, accused Dutta and his wife Bindiya Goswami of discriminating against her and treating Raveena Tandon better. Bharti felt that Tandon was getting special treatment because of her friendship with Dutta's wife. Bharti even alleged that Tandon's role was being made more powerful than hers, and that her costumes were not up to par compared to Tandon's.
Bharti's frustration came to a head when she refused to shoot until she was given a proper costume. This caused a major argument between her and Goswami, which resulted in Bharti storming off set and sitting in her vanity van. When Dutta saw that the shooting was stalled because of Bharti, he lost his temper and asked his assistant to throw her off the set.
It was a messy situation, but eventually, Bharti returned to the set and continued shooting in silence. This story was widely covered by film magazines at the time, including Stardust.
