Mississinewa River, Geological Wonders & A Halloween Surprise!

We've been camping in Salamonie State Forest and today decided to explore the Mississinewa River area. We started the day with freshly ground coffee and a breakfast skillet. Then headed to Hanging Rock National Natural Landmark. We then headed over to Mississinewa Reservoir. We searched out the Seven Pillars Natural Area and learned a little bit about the Miami Indians in the process. We also learned that you can fish in a spillway, which was news to us! After packing up, we headed home but were met with a Halloween surprise along the way. We grabbed a couple sandwiches from Penguin Point and finished our drive home in the rain. There is always blue sky right behind the clouds though!
