We shared our WiFi to multiple devices with only one paid plan. This is currently possible with most, but not all android devices. It is not possible to do via IOS devices without a WiFi router.

When we moved about, we took the router with us connected to a power brick. Occasionally it was necessary to go through the quick set up (15 seconds) to select the strongest signal when moving to another location.
