Having shattered the "firewall" of the pocket dimension, Crease and Yousef reach the main excavation pit at Megiddo. Below them stands the true Infinite Wormhole Inversion Constructor—a massive ring of electromagnets centered on an ancient stone altar. Mike Hockney stands ready to conduct his symphony of pure order, while Alex Stix leans against a strut, bored and dangerous, rigging the machine with chaotic dampeners.

The situation is a stalemate: shoot Hockney, and the machine cracks the tectonic plate; shoot Stix, and a dead man's switch blows the roof off the universe. Crease realizes the only way out is to change the math—to introduce a logic loop where A does not equal A. As Yousef vaults into the pit to buy time, Crease begins his sprint toward the console. The dance has begun.
