Discover how we helped Edmundson Building & Preservation in Sunderland power their future with clean energy. This commercial solar installation features a 17.52kW JA Solar PV system linked to a 15kW 3-phase SolaX inverter, complete with WiFi monitoring for real-time performance tracking.

Edmundson Building & Preservation first contacted us in 2021 following an energy audit carried out by Narec. With funding support from both Narec and the BEST (Business Energy Saving Team) SME programme, we worked closely with their team to deliver a high-performance system that aligned with both their budget and energy-saving goals.

After refining the design and quotation, we were selected to carry out the full supply and installation. A total of 48 x 365W JA Solar panels were mounted using a Renusol A-Frame ballast system, ideal for flat roof applications. This configuration demonstrates the flexibility of solar PV for commercial premises, even where pitched roof space isn't available.

The system is driven by a SolaX 15kW 3-phase inverter, known for its reliability and smart energy management. The built-in WiFi monitoring allows the client to track output, efficiency, and carbon savings in real time. SolaX inverters come with a 10-year warranty as standard, giving peace of mind on long-term performance.

In just over a year since installation, we’ve seen major advancements in solar panel efficiency—today's panels can reach over 430W per unit—but this system still performs excellently and provides a great return on investment.
