Ella odyssey is the latest railway service introduced by the Sri Lanka Railways Department. This train starts from Colombo and goes to Badulla on Saturday and vice versa on Sunday. Also, only available on weekends. The train service has become very popular among tourists and locals because of the scenic view along the way. Tourists rated the train ride as the most picturesque in the world. To participate in this beautiful journey, you must reserve a ticket from Sri Lanka Railways' online ticket booking service. You can also visit any major train station and book a ticket. This train has all the facilities a person needs and is powered by the Class S14 engine. The train only allows reservation ticket holders to board and has 1st, 2nd, and 3rd classes. However, the ticket price is much high compared to regular services. Still, the train stops at some tourist spots to allow passengers the whole journey experience.
