After 3-4 years I decided to get back into riding and what a better way than doing a track day to kick things off.

The day started with a 2 hours of riding in the early hours of the morning it was chilly & windy and the wind got worse as the day progressed. After 4 sessions it started raining and I really didn't want to drop the bike as it was my only means of transport back home.

Note to self "Don't ride to the track!"

Camera mounting wasn't allowed unless it had 2 forms of securing, found some cable ties and secured with that!!!

This day was just to get back into riding and mainly learning the track as I will be heading there regularly.

The camera really helped figuring on what I need to work on.... baby steps.

My analysis from the video

Looking into the turn good
Left arm is locked straight not allowing to turn the bike
Gear selection was bad, a lot of time in higher gears which meant acceleration was slow
Braking way to early and not aggressive enough
Accelerating slowly and not aggressive enough
Turning way to early into the turns and turning slowly
What is counter steering? need to break the elbows to allow this

Overall a fun day and I learned a lot.

Those little 300's overtaking left right center were the race guys and it was their practice day. I didn't follow anyone and just focused and learning the track as well as head positioning.

Next track day I will only be focusing on the having bent elbows and aggressive braking to reduce the amount of time I am coasting.
