In early 1967 Barry and Robin Gibb, two of the three brothers in the Bee Gees, were recruited to write a soulful ballad for the great soul singer Otis Redding. Sadly, later that year and at the height of his career, Otis died in a plane crash so he never got the opportunity to record it. Fortunately, the Bee Gees made it to the studio and created a masterful version of this now-classic song. In the spirit of Otis Redding always using the Stax Records house band, Booker T. and the MG's to record, here's HIGH SOCIETY's version of what might have been.
