Faerie Houses & Friends

I love walking in my neighborhood and seeing the subtle ways people decorate their yards with faerie doors, houses, playful creatures and their accesories. Sometimes they are nearly hidden, sometimes openly inviting of visitors, and sometimes the intention is mysterious. Placed by children? Positioned by adults? Making a sly statement of belief in a concealed world interwoven with “the real one?” I’d love to meet the people who embellish their yards in this way — but, perhaps like the faeries, I’m a bit too shy to knock on a stranger’s door and ask strange questions. So, I just imagine and enjoy. I hope you will too.
