Must see restoration of a 1966 SS396 Chevelle

Hello and welcome to JMP saves cars the channel where nothing is impossible. Over the last four years, i have been restoring a 1966 chevrolet chevelle SS396 for a customer. this car was deemed un-restorable due to the extent of damage and decay. The appearance and story of the car was deceiving and the true story and condition would present itself as it allways does. Nevertheless i pushed on with every ounce of skill and guidance i have. This is an incredible undertaking and amount of work that very few truly understand. once the true identity of this car was uncovered and a plan layed, work commenced. the difficulty that is hard to express is the fact that the frame was unusable and the entire structure of this convertible body unsound. there was only one way it could be saved. the same way it was built by GM over 50 years ago. the trouble being i had to start from an assembled car and rebuild it without loosing reference and positioning. "it must dissapear to be reassembled" if you will. is it the same car you ask? yes it is, i just replaced and serviced everything at once. in this video i will summarize the journey and celebrate the completion of this monumental task. In my 20 years proffesionaly rebuilding and servicing classic cars this one pushed me to the outer reaches of my skill set and i am glad its done and proud of the results. its funny, allways gets me at the end how the sign of a good job done is the illusion that nothing ever happened. only through pictures and stories can we appreciate the scale of the task performed to save a car such as this and it will forever be a hand build piece of artwork crafted with one mind, undeterred by seemingly impossible challenges.
