Sony Handycam DCR-DVD108: Test Footage

Описание к видео Sony Handycam DCR-DVD108: Test Footage

The Sony Handycam DCR-DVD108 was released in 2007 alongside the DCR-DVD308, DVD608, and DVD708. These models were of the last few release years of Sony's standard definition DVD lineup, only being superseded by 2008's DVD610/DVD710/DVD810 and 2009's DVD650/DVD850.

Overall, the video is painfully average for standard definition, with a lens that doesn't do too many favors. It's possible to make the video look pretty with the right angles and zoom, but most clips leave some to be desired. The 40x optical zoom is convenient, and does make for a few rather attractive shots; while not depicted in the video, can imagine it's particularly useful for wildlife videography at a distance. The camcorder also includes Sony's signature "Nightshot" infrared night vision, for taking video in 0-Lux conditions. Viewers will notice a couple of shots shaking or jittering side to side (6:10 & 7:10), this is due to the steadyshot being left active while the camcorder is mounted to a tripod. The audio is also plagued by the same issue as every other DVD handycam tested: The user can hear the DVD drive spinning up and writing, and, on occasion, the unit will suddenly produce a rather disruptive audible disturbance.

A more comprehensive overview/review of the camcorder may be published at some point in the future, but no guarantee can be made at this time.
