On Friday, December 8, 2023, DPS will graduate its 174th Recruit School — Class C-2023. Trooper Trainees undergo rigorous training, with Class C-2023 spending 14 weeks at the DPS Academy (and prior law enforcement experience) to prepare them to become Texas State Troopers.

Join us as we celebrate their accomplishments and welcome them to the Texas Tan.
