In Part13…
The people of the town attend Midge’s funeral. Everyone is talking about the Black Hood. Some of them think that it’s a copycat killer, but Archie is convinced that when Svenson was killed, they got the wrong man and that the real Black Hood is still alive. Kevin is upset with Cheryl because she criticised his father, Sheriff Keller, in the local newspaper for not doing his job properly.

Betty realises that Chic was a patient at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy at the same time Svenson was a handyman there, and wonders if they were in cahoots. She and Jug go to visit the Sisters to find out more about Chic, only to discover that Chic … isn’t her brother Charles after all. Betty eventually gets the true story out of Chic, and has to face the fact that Charles is dead. Meantime, Betty is contacted by the Black Hood who admits that he killed Midge, and also wants to make Chic pay the ultimate price for the bad things he’s done. Meantime, while Kevin is obviously sad for Moose, he must support his father, who is fighting to keep his job.
