Описание к видео Visting the Oldest Towns in Northeast Tennessee: Jonesborough & Greeneville

Northeast Tennessee is home to the two oldest towns in Tennessee, Jonesborough and Greeneville. In this video we visit their beautiful historic downtowns.

Greeneville, the 2nd oldest town in Tennessee, was founded in 1783. Greeneville's downtown is filled with historical significance including the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site and Cemetery, 5 pre civil war churches, the Dickson Williams Mansion and General Morgan Inn.

Jonesborough, the oldest town in Tennessee, was founded in 1779. Jonesborough's historic district is like a scene from a Hallmark movie with architecture ranging from Greek Revival, Queen Anne to Federal Style. This town is home to the Historic Eureka Inn, Chester Inn Museum, Christopher Taylor House, Chuckey Depot Railroad Museum and much more.
