Rasika Gumaste is a Bharatnatyam and Odissi dancer. Trained under under the
able guidance of Guru Smt. Maniktai Ambike and
Smt.
Yogini Gandhi, she gives
performances in both the dance styles, solo as well as group. She has performed
at various prestigious festivals such as
Kalaghoda Festival, Shaniwarwada Festival, Guru Pankaj Charan Das Utsav,
Odissi International, Sambalpur Pustak Mahotsav and so on.
Choreography is her forte and she has
several choreographies to her credit and
has made a mark amongst the Pune dancers as a Versatile artist. She holds a
Masters degree in German from the Jawaharlal Nehru Academy and has
worked for 20 years as translator.
Currently, she imparts training to students wanting to learn this foreign language.
