Backpacking Bacon Rind to Red Mountain - Yellowstone National Park

Описание к видео Backpacking Bacon Rind to Red Mountain - Yellowstone National Park

This is a one night backpacking trip to the top of Red Mountain in the Lee Metcalf wilderness. The hike starts at the Bacon Rind trailhead in the northwest corner of Yellowstone National Park. You can do this hike as a day hike but if you want to see wildlife then morning hiking is the best time. It is about a 14 mile round trip with about 3,300 vertical feet. I saw no other hikers but I did see people on horses on the lower (first 2 miles) flat portion of the trail.
