Travis Young Photography: Alienbee B1600 Introduction

2012 Note: Made this a looong time ago after a few weeks of playing around with the B1600. Some if the information might be a little off, but I suppose pictures never really lie so use those more objectively than what I say, I suppose. Regardless of how young I was, 2 years later, I still own and use by B1600 a lot, so it's a beast.

I've been finding myself shooting at 1/32nd power A LOT because of how beastly it is. With a comparison from the 1600, 800, and 400 models I would say the B800 is a winner for versatility. 1600 can get a bit too strong (especially at minimum power at night) and the B400 you might as well just get a speedlight. 800 is both fairly strong and can also handle the lower light powers if you want them.
