Victoria CLOSES BORDER to NSW as cases rise

BREAKING: Victoria will close its border to NSW from 11:59pm tomorrow, as it works to contain an outbreak in Melbourne that has grown to 8 cases.

Acting Premier Jacinta Allan said the decision was made on health advice, adding "this is not an easy choice, closing borders and putting in place restrictions is never an easy choice to make."

Those who arrive in Victoria in the 24 hours before the border closes will still need to take a test and go into quarantine for 14 days.
