In this Let's Play video, you will see me play Dragonscale Monastery (Steam Next Fests). This is strategy survival city builder (colony sim). You build up a monastery (colony settlement) on the side of a mountain with limited land space. The premise of building on the side of a mountain and creating bridges between the land spots is similar to "Laysara: Summit Kingdom". Your goal is to fulfill the needs of the Monks as well as the need for hatching and raising a dragon. The demo walks you through the steps in building them Monastery (village) by gathering resources (wood and stone) and then later setting up production buildings and delivering goods to your Stockpile and Vault (warehouse storage space) that is then distribute to the different construction sites and buildings needing them. It feels more of a puzzle scenario based city builder because space is limited and you will need to do some planning. The game uses a grid system and land space is limited so you have to do a little Tetris to fit things around to maximize everything. The game has you creating expeditions that is similar to "Frostpunk", "Synergy", and "The Tribe Must Survive", and making decisions during the expeditions events. The demo only teases what you'll be able to do with Dragon once you raise it with Contracts. The process of incubating, hatching, and caring for the egg and baby Dragon reminds me somewhat of "Mind Over Magic" (Jade Dragon Update). We'll have to wait and see what other challenges this game has to offer. The expected release date is sometimes in 2025 (possibly early access).
