Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Monday held talks with his Bangladeshi counterpart Mohammad Jashim Uddin, marking the first high-level trip from India after Sheikh Hasina's ouster from power in August following massive violent protests.
The high-level visit also came at a time of increasing strain in ties between New Delhi and Dhaka over attacks on minorities, including Hindus, in Bangladesh after Hasina's ouster.
