I bought a brand new 2022 Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch (on Nylon strap)

The Speedmaster Moonwatch is one of the world’s most iconic timepieces. Having been a part of all six moon landings, the legendary chronograph is an impressive representation of the brand’s adventurous pioneering spirit.

This is the latest purchase to my watch collection. I have always wanted to add an Omega Speedmaster to my collection as it was the first swiss made timepiece that drew me into loving watches. Looking down at the dial you get a real feel for how it must have felt being an astronaut on the moon missions. I opted for the nylon strap instead of a metal bracelet as it helped thin down the watch which sits at 42mm. The hesalite crystal and hand wound movement means that the watch is extremely light compared to its sapphire version. Its is by far the lightest watch in my collection.

The watch is driven by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, which powers the small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder, along with the central chronograph function.
