This was a rap I made for my Earth Science project! To inform people on what you can and can't recycle, while showing my passion for it.

We've got environmental issues
That's an understatement they're far worse than issues
Wrecking the earth it's put through abuse
Only if we could make it fresher
After such neglected misuse
There's no quick turn around
Yet our earth will still spin round yeah round
Still there's things we can do to rejuvenate it's rotation round
We're treating recycling as a clown
A joke when you don't recycle properly
Now there's a lot that you can recycle
Just go ahead n' ask Terracycle
Though some need to be in their own special boxes
Well if it's common recycling I'll be honest, it's not that hard
Get to it and give recycling a try
Your not slammin' right,
if your placing food or condiments
In the bin don't try n' be sly
It's not that hard to quit living a lie
Cause you can not recycle that!
Let's leave certain foods to composting
You know it's only fruit and vegetable residue
Don't you dare go and do,
anything but produce
Absolutely no animal products,
you know all it is, is a carcass
Just live and let live
Let's proceed on to the next topic
Go ahead drop it in the bin
Most are mixed recycling
But check if they're separated
You better be recycling that paper, glass n' plastic
I see you chewing on that elastic
That hubba bubba double trouble bubble gum
Watch where you throw that one
Make sure it goes in the trash basket
Don't you be ratchet
Though most people laugh at it
You can not recycle that!
Are you tryna' give me a heart attack
Don't forget about the metal and the cardboard
And if you are torn on if its recyclable, just look it up get informed
Make sure to break all your cardboard boxes down if you plan on recycling them now
Like pizza boxes
Yeah you can recycle pizza boxes

If you got the food residue,
we don't want that dude
Throw it in the trash basket
Don't be ratchet
Cause you can not recycle that!
Here's another rule of thumb,
when your recycling a book make sure to rip all of the cover off
With empty coffee cups remove the plastic lids
Speaking of empty, make sure it's really empty
If you're really doing it right you'll rinse it out twice
As well as plastic cups not only lids but straws make sure it,
that they're off
Caring for the earth doesn't make you sensitive or soft (soft)
It makes you wiser and better than anyone thought
To care for more than what's in front of you
Recycling is what to do if you're to create something new
Just remember the pointers to...what you cannot recycle
Cause you can not recycle that!
