Palazzolo Acreide is a small town in the province of Syracuse, Sicily. The town's famous carnival is considered the anciest carnival celebration in Sicily.

Thousands of tourists come to Palazzolo every year during the town's most important celebrations: the festivites of carnival, Saint Paul (the patron saint), Saint Sebastian (the town's protector saint), Our Lady of Sorrows and Saint Michael the Archangel among others.

All the carnival floats are made of papier mache and created by local talented artisans who work hard with all their staff to delight thousands of people during the carnival festivities.

The vibrant colors, the special effects, the music and the enthusiasm of the citizens of Palazzolo make this carnival experience an unforgettable event!
