We Caught Fish Everywhere on This River! (Mississippi River Pool 8)

La Crosse Wisconsin, Pool 8 of the Mississippi River is one of my favorite places to fish! There is both amazing Largemouth and Smallmouth bass fishing all throughout the river. This year we showed up and the current was moving at a good rate, plenty of water in the river. With the higher water levels and good current the smallmouth were biting like crazy! A small finesse jig such as the Keitech Casting jig worked well to get the smallmouth to bite. For largemouth we found some good matted vegetation that held fish we could frog and punch for. River fishing is so much fun, stay tuned for day 2 and 3 coming up soon!

Pretty sure the Bassmaster Open at La Crosse is going to be amazing! Weights should be insane!
