Come with me to Long Island City, Queens to check out the morning diesel rush at Hunterspoint Ave. & Long Island City Station/Yard. We will be seeing plenty of LIRR DM/DE action. We start off at Jamaica Station to catch our diesel transfer to Hunterspoint Avenue. There we see the daily morning Montauk-Penn Station train arriving and departing in electric mode. We continue on to Hunterspoint Avenue and check out the aging station as well as the construction that has recently started on the East River tunnels. From there we go one stop to Long Island City which is the terminus of all LIRR Main Line diesel trains. It’s also one of the least used LIRR stations with one very short platform and two tracks for passenger boarding. There are 11 other tracks for train storage which effectively makes LIC more of a yard than a station. After that I head to the lead tracks to the yard and watch some trains come and go. To finish off the video, we check out LIRR MP15AC locomotive #161 sitting on stand by for rescue outside of LIC yard.

Train 521 (DM30 #521/510 W/ 4 C3 Bi Level Cars) @ 14:42 is missing the description, not sure what happened to it!
