Microsoft today released Windows 10 build 19042.1319 (KB5006738) to Insiders running version 20H2 in the Release Preview channel. It brings a ton of improvements that include improved security against ransomware attacks and other such cyber attacks, fixes memory leak issues.

While Insiders that have originally been running Release Preview builds of versions 21H2 will receive this update automatically, those that were moved from the Beta channel to the Release Preview channel recently will be able to receive it via the “seeker” experience, meaning that they will be served the update only if they check for updates manually.

If you're on Windows 10 version 2004, 20H2, 21H1 or 21H2, you'll get KB5006738, bringing the build number to 19041.1319, 19042.1319, 19043.1319 or 19044.1319, respectively.

PLEASE NOTE 21H2 preview builds are ONLY available to Insiders who were moved from the Beta Channel to the Release Preview Channel because their PCs did not meet the hardware requirements for Windows 11!

Just so you know, you cannot install a CAB file by double-clicking on it. Rather, you have to use the DISM tool. Here's how you can install CAB file in Windows 10:
1. First things first. Extract the files with using the third-party compression software or simply copy/paste them into another location.
2. Next, open the Start menu, search for "Command Prompt", right-click on it and select the "Run as administrator" option.
3. In the Command Prompt window, use the command as shown below: dism /online /add-package /packagepath:"C:\212b6cff-12aa-4213-bbec-925317eb413c.cab" (IT'S AN EXAMPLE COMMAND!)
4. FOR 64-bit USERS ONLY (IF THE ABOVE COMMAND DOESN'T WORK)*:
If you are on a 64-bit Windows 10 system and receiving an error while using the above command or if the Command Prompt is trying to run the 32-bit version on DISM tool, use the below command. Again, don't forget to replace the example path with the actual path of the CAB file.
"C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Dism.exe" /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:"X:\path\to\file.cab"
5. Wait for the update to install.
6. After this process completes, you'll be prompted to restart your computer to finish installing the updates.
