The difference between liberation and freedom is an enemy not a friend.
Friends create comfort but enemies create movement.
Without an enemy your present is permanent.
God used Pharaoh and the bricks without straw scenario to force movement amongst a people who had become attached to an enemy they thought couldn’t get any worse.
The problem wasn’t ‘Let my people go’ it was WILL MY PEOPLE LET GO?
Liberation often requires an irritation for it to become freedom and a bricks without straw situation will always do the job.
